The workshop was led by Jens Rommel, Julian Sagebiel and Jacob Dalgaard Christensen from Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences – Uppsala.

The aim of the course was to give participants a broad overview of the statistical techniques necessary to plan and conduct an economic experiment.

Participants learned about different experimental approaches to study (policy-relevant and practically relevant) questions in Environmental and Agricultural Economics, as well as in Consumer Research. Starting with a broad introduction to experiments and experimental designs, examples were discussed.

Participants learned to design their own experiments (with an emphasis on Discrete Choice Experiments) and get familiar with basic techniques for analysis. The workshop was conducted between 19 and  22 October 2021.
