On 20 May 2020, the European Research Executive Agency (REA) hosted a cluster meeting on Sustainable Agriculture and Natural Resources. Among 49 participating projects, AgriFoodBoost also found its place at this event.
Our project leader, Professor Marija Cerjak, presented the project AgriFoodBoost and participated in the discussion about possibilities of cooperation, in the wide area of Sustainable Agriculture and linked Natural Resources, which was the main topic of the meeting.
The starting point of this event were projects in the H2020 programme “Spreading Excellence and Widening Participation” in the field of sustainable agriculture and natural resources. The projects funded in this programme are coordinated in the countries identified as “low R&I performing” countries: 15 member states and 12 associated countries. The programme comprises three actions: Twinning, Teaming and ERA Chairs. In addition to the projects from this programme, other key projects from this scientific area are also represented at the meeting, such as COST projects and projects from Societal Challenge 2 (H2020) and Cluster 6 (HE).
The cluster meeting is an initiative of REA /C3 (Widening Participation) in close collaboration with RTD/A (ERA Governance and Implementation), with contributions from DG AGRI and several external speakers. At the meeting, projects were presented, cross-project synergies were discussed and information was provided about the new Framework Programme Horizon Europe (HE). The meeting was intended to help project consortia prepare for the new opportunities offered by HE.
